school to prison pipeline project

‘The Construction of the Indigenous Incarcerated Body: Māori & Indigenous Populations and the School to Prison Pipeline' is a Catalyst Seeding project funded by the Royal Society of NZ.

This is a collaboration between Tū Tama Wāhine o Taranaki(TTW), Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, Pūrangakura, Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research (Sydney); E Kolu Mea Nui, Pua Foundation and Hale Kipa (Hawai’i).

The project focus is about bringing together Indigenous Peoples from Aotearoa (NZ), Australia, and Hawai’i to exchange ideas and to create opportunities to gain deeper insights to scale up our understandings of the place and contribution of the ‘School to Prison pipeline’ in the wider issues of Indigenous incarceration.
