A team of family start workers provide an intensive home-based visiting service that promotes safe parent-child relationship and maternal, infant and early childhood  well being in high-need families.

Anyone can make a request for support to the Family Start, including the whānau themselves.

Whānau entering the service must have a child under 12 months of age (or pregnant) and meet the referral criteria.

Family Start is a voluntary programme, offering support to families in need.

Participants can enroll the Family Start services at any time by contacting the Family Start team at Tū Tama Wahine.
