Ngaropi Cameron presented the findings of her research project He Waipuna Koropupu. The research looked at Taranaki whānau experiences of suicide, behavioural patterns, warning signs and cultural and social systems and how these informed a Māori-specific intervention strategy and the development of a Kaupapa Māori healing framework based on core cultural values.

Ngaropi Cameron and Dr Leonie Pihama have been the lead investigators on this project and Dr Janice Wenn and Bry Kopu completed the research team.
