Tū Tangata Whenua - Masterclass for Active Citizenship

AboutMasterclassIcon.pngOur Masterclass for Active Citizenship – Tū Tangata Whenua – has been designed to bring a diverse group of local people together to awaken their involvement in civic life, or in hapū and iwi affairs, and to strengthen their skills and abilities to make things better in our communities.

Our four-month Masterclass learning journey is based in New Plymouth and is run in partnership with Community Taranaki.

Here's what our participants have said about their experience of the Masterclass.

These Masterclasses are by invitation-only, and are funded by previous participants of these courses and the sponsorship of Community Taranaki and Tu Tama Wahine o Taranaki.

Over 2019-2020 we are hosting a series of open Community Conversations on the different themes of the Masterclass.
These events are also providing us with an occasion to welcome visitors to Taranaki who might want to learn from this work and participate in a short skills-sharing session.
